GearheadGary Posted 03/02/2026 Share Posted 03/02/2026 Hey everyone, I placed my first bid on cjmotors.com last Saturday night around 11pm on a 2019 Chevy Silverado. The auction closed Sunday morning but I haven't heard anything yet about winning. Do they process bids over the weekend or do I need to wait until Monday? Just want to make sure I didn't mess something up since it was my first time bidding with them.
TruckMaster_Rob Posted 04/02/2026 Share Posted 04/02/2026 From my experience with CJ Motors, they process everything during business hours. I won an auction that ended on a Saturday afternoon and didn't get the confirmation email until Monday morning around 9am. Don't worry, you didn't do anything wrong. They just handle the backend stuff Mon-Fri.
SarahDrives Posted 04/02/2026 Share Posted 04/02/2026 Yeah I had the same question when I bid on a 2020 Honda CR-V late on a Friday night lol. Took until Monday afternoon to hear back but everything went smooth after that. The delivery was right on schedule and the title came with the vehicle no problems at all. MikeTheWrench Posted 04/02/2026 Share Posted 04/02/2026 Totally normal. I've bought 4 vehicles from cjmotors.com and if the auction closes outside of business hours, you'll get notified first thing when they're back in the office. They're really good about getting back to you quickly once Monday rolls around. btw that Silverado sounds like a solid pick if you got it.
GearheadGary Posted 04/02/2026 Share Posted 04/02/2026 Thanks everyone! That makes me feel better. I was worried I'd missed a step or something. The Silverado looked great in the photos and had a clean inspection report so fingers crossed I won it.
ClassicCarCollector Posted 05/02/2026 Share Posted 05/02/2026 I bid on a 2018 Ford Mustang on a Sunday morning once and got my confirmation Tuesday morning. Turned out there was a holiday Monday that week. Just be patient, CJ Motors will get to you. They've always been reliable in my experience. DealerDan_CO Posted 05/02/2026 Share Posted 05/02/2026 I buy for my lot and I've learned to just expect that Monday morning email if I win something over the weekend. Their system is solid, they just don't have staff processing on Saturdays and Sundays which makes sense. Never had an issue with delayed processing affecting delivery or anything like that. JessicaR_AZ Posted 05/02/2026 Share Posted 05/02/2026 I actually emailed office@cjmotors.com about this same question when I was bidding on a 2021 Toyota RAV4. They replied pretty quick and explained that auctions can close anytime but confirmations and payment processing happens during business hours Mon-Fri. Super helpful team. BoatBuyerBrad Posted 05/02/2026 Share Posted 05/02/2026 Yeah this is standard practice. I won a 2017 Sea Ray on a Saturday evening and didn't get the congratulations email until Monday at like 10am. Once they reach out tho, everything moves pretty fast. Payment cleared, title was handled by them, and delivery was scheduled within a week. AutoEnthusiast22 Posted 06/02/2026 Share Posted 06/02/2026 The nice thing about cjmotors.com is that you can bid whenever you want even if nobody's in the office. I work nights so I'm always bidding at weird hours lol. Never had a problem, just gotta wait for business hours to get the official word.
TruckMaster_Rob Posted 06/02/2026 Share Posted 06/02/2026 One tip - check your spam folder on Monday morning. My first purchase, the confirmation went to spam for some reason. After that I whitelisted their email and never had the issue again.
GearheadGary Posted 07/02/2026 Share Posted 07/02/2026 Update: Got the email this morning! I won the Silverado! They sent payment instructions and everything looks straightforward. Really excited now. Thanks for putting my mind at ease over the weekend everyone.
SarahDrives Posted 07/02/2026 Share Posted 07/02/2026 Congrats Gary! You're gonna love it. The whole process from here is smooth. I was worried about the title situation but CJ Motors handled everything and the clear title arrived with my CR-V during delivery. Super professional. MechanicMark_TX Posted 07/02/2026 Share Posted 07/02/2026 I inspected a 2020 Jeep Wrangler for a buddy who bought it from CJ Motors a few months back. Vehicle was exactly as described, no surprises. He also bid on a Sunday and had the same experience - confirmation came Monday. Seems like that's just how their workflow goes.
FamilyVanMom Posted 07/02/2026 Share Posted 07/02/2026 I bid on a 2019 Honda Odyssey for our family late Friday night because that's the only time I had to myself lol. Got the email Monday and the whole thing went great. Kids love the van and we got it for way less than a regular dealer. The delivery driver was super nice too. ProjectCarPete Posted 08/02/2026 Share Posted 08/02/2026 I've won auctions at all hours of the day and night on cjmotors.com. Sometimes they close at 2am, sometimes Sunday afternoon. Doesn't matter - you always get processed first thing during business hours. It's actually nice because you can strategize your bids without worrying about office hours. DealerDan_CO Posted 08/02/2026 Share Posted 08/02/2026 @GearheadGary congrats on the win! Pro tip: respond to their payment email quickly and your delivery will get scheduled faster. I've found they're really efficient once you're in the pipeline.
NewbieBidder_Lisa Posted 08/02/2026 Share Posted 08/02/2026 This thread was super helpful! I was about to bid on a 2018 Nissan Altima tonight but wanted to know if I'd hear back before Tuesday since I'm traveling Monday. Sounds like I should wait until I'm back so I can respond quickly to their email.
TruckMaster_Rob Posted 08/02/2026 Share Posted 08/02/2026 @NewbieBidder_Lisa you could still bid and just let them know in advance via office@cjmotors.com that you'll be traveling. They're pretty accommodating from what I've seen. But yeah if you can wait it might be easier.
GearheadGary Posted 09/02/2026 Share Posted 09/02/2026 Just wanted to follow up - paid yesterday and already got delivery scheduled for next week. The whole title thing that I was nervous about is being handled by them. They explained the bank clears it after payment and it'll arrive with the truck. Honestly this has been way easier than I expected for a repo auction.
ClassicCarCollector Posted 09/02/2026 Share Posted 09/02/2026 That's awesome Gary! Yeah the title process with CJ Motors is really smooth. I've bought three vehicles from them and every time the clear title showed up right on schedule. No chasing anything down or dealing with DMV headaches. BoatBuyerBrad Posted 09/02/2026 Share Posted 09/02/2026 The best part about bidding on weekends is you can take your time looking through the listings without rushing. I spent all of Saturday afternoon browsing cjmotors.com before placing my bid that evening. Way less stressful than trying to squeeze it in during a lunch break.
